This "E:62;12" error sounds vaguely like the camera won't focus; maybe you
ОтветитьУдалитьdamaged one of the plastic "flexiboard" cables ? Did you come across the
two tiny springs I mentioned ? At a guess maybe you didn't get the
disassembly back together properly ? I can only suggest answers to those
problems.
i think so! it moves when i turn it on! then sometimes i get the e:62:12

images sometimes appear rotated without reason, and in the memory card they
appear in horizontal mode but when i use them (for eg. in facebook) the

I've just been trying to repair a DSC-W310 ( 12 MP ); I got the lens to
ОтветитьУдалитьoperate OK but still got that message. I discovered that during making a
video of my attempt to repair I had damaged the flexiboard to the little
motor that operates the focus. I repaired that, after a couple of goes and
the camera works fine now. To repair a flexiboard you need a stereo
microscope, a very fine solder bit - like a needle, and solder in the form
of paste [ not solder paste ] - have a look at that video.
Once I fixed the lens the error message has never appeared; in fact I never

this morning and the ( more complicated lens system - 7x zoom ) shows a
very similar external condition as this one. MANY EBAY BATTERY SELLERS
describe the battery for the W360, ie NP-BN1, as suitable for the W370; you
can't even get it in the battery compartment, and there's an extra ( 4th )
terminal contact ! A/V cable for W370 doesn't fit W360 !

to have a look at the DSC-W370 to see if I damaged that cable. Some cables
are easily damaged at right-angle turns.
mmm ok no, the camera looks good, and the lense works ok on the movement.

doesnt work, and my big problem is that Im not from U.S.A. and the warranty
says only for U.S.A :(
There's always the possibility that this ( pending ) W370 has a working

out of place or whatever. Should I be that lucky - hah, who knows yet, but

If it's still working then be very careful of the lens; there are hundreds,

lots, all the same model and even colour.

I tried to fix the Cyber-shot W370 lens, taking it apart like this one. I
ОтветитьУдалитьmust have dismantled/assembled it a good 20 times but the camera still says
"Switch off and then on". I gave up.
Like yourself, I prefer to at least try and see if I can repair a thing;
ОтветитьУдалитьtaking into account the time and effort it's probably wiser to just buy a
good working used replacement from ebay, or get a lens possibly from the
few ebay sellers that have them. Of those that do they say it might not
include the sensor, so don't throw that away in case.
I've been getting muddled; when I refer to the W360 I mean the W560.

what I find when I get this DSC-W370. Now you tell me how your's is I'm not
so optimistic. You know what they say, "A little knowledge is a dangerous
thing". Because the W360 had a stuck lens and gave that error message I
thought I was on to a good thing and bought the W370; serves me right if I
can't fix it; but at least I have a backup strategy !

times in one year to clean the sensor, and now once with the lens. - gets
dirty all the time. Serious flaw in the construction. the good news I get
lots of practice in patience taking it apart and re assembling it. .

If you lens stuck outside, look a more simply solution. My lens stuck
ОтветитьУдалитьoutside, i notice that if i look from the side, the two pieces of the
telescopic part was not arranged properly, it must be paralell, so i press
softly toward the right position, it sounds like a click, and it works
perfectly again! :D i hope it works for someone else too
