    cant get it to work. my lap top says the ip is 192.168.141 another lapper
    says 192.168.114 and yet my phone says .108 Ive tried them all and nothing.
    any ideas

    I have a netgear router too. We rang up netgear and asked about this
    problem but they had no clue of what we were talking about and were
    useless!!!!

    Adding +10 on my router doesn't work for me. What the F? Why is everyone
    else having all the luck? Could it be just the fact that my router doesn't
    support online gaming?

    John, you are a genius! I spent hours trying different settings, trying to
    figure out how to connect an Ethernet cable into the Wii U, etc. I watched
    your video, followed your settings, and it worked on the first attempt! Now
    it is doing the system update. Thanks for the help!

    This worked but had to go with Primary DNS to "8.8.8.8" and Secondary DNS
    to "8.8.4.4"; however, I found it in the nintendo tech forum; I just
    followed the video rather than scrolling through the written directions.
    Probably should update the video to add those caveats about the DNS
    address..

    Nintendo Wii U will not connect to internet via a Wifi router ? here is a
    answer

    The Nintendo Wii U is one cool games console, however if you, your family
    or friends got one this Christmas and it will not connect to a wifi router
    and the internet even thou you see the SSID, the security type and password
    are set right, and your other wifi devices are connecting to the internet
    ok. Here is a quick fix that worked for us in this you tube video clip

    Here is the TECH bit,
    Can your other wifi devices connect to the internet via your wifi router ok
    ? if YES
    On the Wii U, under Manual wifi setup enter ...
    SSID, security type and password for your wifi router
    Static IP address 192.168.0.100
    Subnet mask 255.255.255.0
    and Default gateway 192.168.0.1
    setup primary and secondary DNS from a PC cmd window type "ipconfig /all"
    to get the DNS entries used by your router
    *On your wifi router under DNS, reserve 192.168.0.100 against the wii u MAC
    address

    Yes true. The only reason I buy a Playstation is for the Kingdom Hearts and
    Final Fantasy series or other good SquareEnix games, but only because they
    started on Nintendo.

    You have clearly never played Persona 4, Super Smash Bros Brawl, Tales Of
    Graces F, TLOZ Skyward Sword, and other totally awesome games that you
    CAN'T get on the Xbox, also the shooters that are on the Xbox are also on
    the Playstation 3 (and 4) so your argument is invalid

    I totally can't wait for SSB4 , I'm hoping to get a Wii U for Christmas,
    and then in 2014, hopefully get a copy of Wii U Smash Bros . I have a 3DS
    and I could get that version, but The Wii U version looks better to

    Really? at the lunch table in my school it was me and my friends saying
    Snes/Nintendo and some other people saying Genisis/Sega, although there
    were much more people who had a Snes so it is not as bad as today since
    there were other consoles like atari and stuff that people had and now
    theres just Nintendo, Xbox, and Playstation which really bothers me just
    because people should play what they think is fun because its not about
    speed or power or graphics its about is the game fun for you or not.

    The biggest surprise at e3 was killer instinct since ea has dice
