this bitch of a message can interrupt calls, come up without warning and make you flip. Its the phone design that is the cause, it does not hold the SIM card...

Thanks for helping out
ОтветитьУдалитьIf you already tried factory resetting by SD card... then there isn't much
ОтветитьУдалитьyou can do to the phone. The HTC mytouch 4g is known for having a bad eMMC
chip which HTC never resolved (or made aware to customers). If you had
purchased your phone a few years ago... you might be one of the unlucky
ones affected. People have reported their phones dying randomly.
I guess it just turns on nd stays stuck at the screen i tried reseting it
ОтветитьУдалитьbut idk what could be the problem
my mytouch 4g wont go past the logo screen I tried the twisting part tried
ОтветитьУдалитьthe reset but still nothing
When you factory reset it... did the process complete?
ОтветитьУдалитьunfortunately, it's only a temporary fix. I wish there was a more permanent
ОтветитьУдалитьfix. But for some reason... something got damaged internally in the phone.
I never fixed the phone myself, but ended up selling the phone. You have to
do the twist fix over and over to get the phone to work whenever you need
to restart your phone...
it work again thanks your the best mi know how to fix it when it come up
ОтветитьУдалитьevery time it come bck
ОтветитьУдалитьevery time it come bck
ОтветитьУдалитьSure thing... was your phone a HTC mytouch 4g,.. or was it a different
ОтветитьУдалитьbrand? Have a good weekend.
o my god it work 100% thanks u soo much thank thank u
ОтветитьУдалитьthank u soo much man
ОтветитьУдалитьthnk u
ОтветитьУдалитьYea.. sorry.. it does sound like it's fake. Glad your neices' phone can
ОтветитьУдалитьstill be used. When I had this phone.. I was at my wits end. I couldn't
figure out what was wrong (as I'd bought it off of ebay). I tried googling
and youtubing to figure out what the problem was.. and somehow... I read
someone twisting their phone. I thought it couldn't possibly hurt since my
phone was broken. Oh yeah.. just be careful you don't twist too hard... it
can crack the screen.
It worked! thanks so much! I was thinking this was a joke at first
ОтветитьУдалитьthen....what!! My niece was soooo happy, she thought her phone was dead and
had no way to get another! Your the best aleks dude!
In the end, I purchased an external charger to charge my battery. An
ОтветитьУдалитьexternal charger from ebay should cost you around 3-4 dollars. Also an
extra battery off of ebay might cost you about 2-3 dollars. I just charged
my battery externally and then inserting the charged battery, twisting my
phone, and having it boot normally. But if you don't want to get an
external charger, then you'll have to live with it rebooting when you
insert a usb cable.. and then twisting the phone to get it to boot.
The behavior you describe happens just like what happened to my phone. 1)
ОтветитьУдалитьLet's say the phone is on, and I plug the charger into it. It would restart
and get stuck in a boot loop. 2) Let's say I somehow got the phone charged
and it was plugged in.. when I finally removed the usb cable, it would
restart my phone, then get stuck in a boot loop. Unfortunately, for me,.. I
never had a good workaround for this. If I twisted the phone while
inserting the charging cable (VERY HARD) it might work.
Hey man this thanks this kinda worked the only problem is that when i plug
ОтветитьУдалитьin my phone to the charger it does the same thing and when i unplug it out
it does the same thing so ill really appriciate it if u helped me out thanks
Haven't had anybody post any comments in awhile about this twist fix.
ОтветитьУдалитьThat's great.. glad you got your phone working!
IT WORKED!!
ОтветитьУдалитьmi htc magic no funcionaba o encendia mal y luego de hacerle esto encendio
ОтветитьУдалитьmuy ben gracias.....
I think I see what you are doing. Yes, I can see how that might work.
ОтветитьУдалитьHopefully you're phone lasts a long time. Thanks.
Interesting. Can you make a video of this to show other people?
ОтветитьУдалитьYes i do know how to do the factory reset like when i would press the power
ОтветитьУдалитьbutton it would freeze on factory reset i took it to t-mobile and they said
they couldn't do anything about it
@ruready4563245 If u can't factory reset..... is the phone running a stock
ОтветитьУдалитьor custom rom (ie cyanogenmod). You can try downloading the original
firmware to sd card and try reinstalling the stock rom that way. It doesnt
sound good though. i've read online how the internal storage or emmc chip
can go bad. If the phone is still under warranty then maybe u can try
warrantying it. good luck
For the record, it's not just HTC. I'm using galaxy S4 with exact same
ОтветитьУдалитьproblem. Samsung want to replace motherboard, I simply used tape to thicken
sim to make a better connection to the sim contacts. Been fine since. Thank
you
You star was fins go shop to day to get phone fixed watched the video n it
ОтветитьУдалитьworked first time thanx
it worked! thanks a lot man. For the ones it didnt: try with more type and
ОтветитьУдалитьit will finally work!!
Crossing my fingers and hoping I did this right and it works. I wasn't sure
ОтветитьУдалитьwhether I should wrap the tape around the card and tray or just put it on
top and trim the tape (which is what I did. I put on two layers of regular
cellophane tape (the invisible kind) and trimmed it up. It's working now.
We'll see how long it holds or if I may need more layers.
Wooow! It worked for my HTC ONE V. I’m immensely grateful to you. ;))
ОтветитьУдалитьYou deserve money for this fix!! I KNEW it was happening to lots of
ОтветитьУдалитьdifferent phone models for a reason - I thought it was Android but it's
crappy build quality!! Tape... hundreds of pounds, euros, dollars and the
answer to it all... is a little bit of tape. Jeez!!!
LOOOOOL
ОтветитьУдалитьSony xperia P, suddenly wudnt reconise the sim. two layers of selotape and
ОтветитьУдалитьsafed me the price of a new phone....till i drop it at least.
OMG it worked, thats soooooooo much I got the concept even in the dark
ОтветитьУдалитьDidn't work -.-
ОтветитьУдалитьI have a HTC One V and my sim card slides in with only a small fraction of
ОтветитьУдалитьit hanging out and i still have the same problem..
Thanks so much, dude. It worked!
ОтветитьУдалитьDude!!! This just worked on my HTC One S. Seriously THANK YOU!!!
ОтветитьУдалитьPS HTC Desire HD is what I have.
ОтветитьУдалитьhaha i think it woork for me :) sgs i9000 ty
ОтветитьУдалитьthanks man it work!!!!!!! i have a htc mytouch 3g and i pluged in the sim
ОтветитьУдалитьand it said no sim on the screen, when i put tape it worked perfect and now
i can use my phone again!!!
Its worked !!!! Thanks !!!! I breaked my mind to find the solution !!!!!!!
ОтветитьУдалитьI just tried this with my Desire HD (unbranded). I rebooted the phone as it
ОтветитьУдалитьdidn't immediately come back (could be due to my patchy reception in my
building so I went to a window as well) and I was back on my network - UK
T-Mobile. This is a great fix, good job for finding it inSUBout, real
good!!! :D. This should be on every Android FAQ page.
You could also SLIGHTLY BEND the tray the SIM card sits in so it pushes the
ОтветитьУдалитьSIM card towards the contacts. The keyword is SLIGHTLY!
THANKS IT WORKS!
ОтветитьУдалитьThanks I tried the tape didn't work, but then put in and out of airplane
ОтветитьУдалитьmode many times, pressed down hard on the Sim card, then rebooted quite a
few times and finally on one of the reboots it came good!!!! Just
persevere. I had done a system update which caused this problem. No Android
can outsmart a Human! ;) This phone has been fantastic much better than an
iphone!
Would I be able to use sellotape?
ОтветитьУдалитьThis makes you wonder.. Are HTC's any good at all?
ОтветитьУдалитьthumb's up thanks for that trick :D
ОтветитьУдалитьThat was 5 months ago I ended up getting a new Sim card and it has been
ОтветитьУдалитьfine since, but I wont be doing any more system updates.
