I solved my latency issues!

Wanted to share my discovery. I had problems in input monitoring when working in my DAW. Turns out that using the Line6 GX in ASIO mode works far better than...

  3. @HCXanithon yes, and it took me forever to figure out. Guess the waveout
thing was stuck from my pod2.0 and tri-ac days.

  4. @kodoku42 now that your problem's solved you should start recording nonstop

  5. @kodoku42 yeah its awesome cuz hearing the cab on there live makes you
write sick shit like nothing. its like DAMN. its fun! oh man im still
struggling to get a better tone. mine is really good but the more i mess
with it, the more i hear the line 6 crap in there. man i cant escape it.
boogex is awesome. and ive got sick impulses to go with them. but i dont
    know man....

  8. Thanks so much, and never mind your response time! This is critical
information stated plainly and unequivocally, that saves someone like
myself without much know-how a lot of hair-pulling; I've found the like
pretty hard to come by. My thanks are late, now; I've been trying to digest
it and come up with an intelligent response. The best I've come up with is
to ask whether, if it was quick and easy, you would do a manual correction
to eliminate latency altogether. -from Steve-

  10. @ekmii Guess I didn't realize that I could use it for playback, not just
for pod farm sounds but every other sound on the daw as well :) better late
    than never I guess.

  14. @LordHines42 I used the 5150 model in this video with noise gate and pre
eq. I searched random forums about latency issues and never found out the
asio thing. It's actually very inspiring now that - for the first time ever
    - I can make "final" tone before I even start recording. Can't wait to
    write new riffs.

hankkia ku toi HD kodeekki emossa. M-audio hakusessa rca innillä ja
    outputilla mixerille.

  16. buy a M-audio delta 66 with the omni I/O break out box, only $150. best
investment I have ever made, i have a latency of 2.4ms which is nothing.....

  17. Have you tried ASIO4ALL? it's an universal ASIO driver that also maybe
    helpful to you

  18. @LordHines420 Maybe it's better to give up and go buy axe-fx :D lol if I
just had the money. Still there are people who get nice djentz with line6
like drewsif. Yeah boogex is nice for its features like pre-impulse eq,
drive and dynamics control and that frequency response thing. I've got the
recabinet library which has like a ton of impulses but mostly I've been
using mesa or orange with sm57 :D there is so much more to try out.

it takes a tad more processing.

but when I record my guitar the audio lag is so bad I think its at 50 ms
latancy,is there a way to fix it its inposable to record when you hear
whats coming out of the speakers at a difrent timing then what im actually
playing, its really messing up my timing,Im using studio one by
    personus.its driving me crazy

  22. I probably didn't mention it. But it was your average motherboard
integrated Realtek HD Audio. And my guitar interface is a Line6 Pod Studio
    GX.

  23. just install ASIO4ALL driver. works much better, less work. just google
asio4all. it is the first result.

Hey man, i did that, but the latency (delay) continues!! what do you think
i should do? i use my onboard soundcard (motherboard), do you think i need
to buy one offboard? i heard i need one to install the asio4all, and then
i'll have no delay, is that true?

  34. NO worries FL Studio Wont Kill Your CPU, if anything it will crash before
that happens,my advice to you would be , buy a better audio card, or buy an
audio Interface, on board Audio cards suck for use with FL studio, trust me
I've been down that road. guarantee you if you get a new audio card that
    lagging will stop.
