Too bad, another video that's not a video of what could have been great info. Pictures aren't good enough to see what you did and the commentary doesn't help at all without some arrows and such to point to what you're talking about. Hopefully you redo this.
@dropboks Not sure how much, but yes it will put a slow drain on the battery as it will always be pulling a small amount power from it. If you end up connecting it directly to the battery make sure you install some sort of on/off switch between the battery and the device. This way you can turn it off while the bike is off and won't pulling energy from the battery.
1) Don't remember the mount I used, I bought it years ago. Basically I just cut part off that attached to the suction cup and shoved the peg down the hole in the steering column. The one I have now did not have a peg so I drilled a hole in the mount and just ran a long bolt down the hole in the steering column. 2) Yes. You can just cut open the car charger just just run power cables to the inside of the car charger.
i have two questions: 1) Which mount did you use to mount the phone on the motorcycle? I am using 2008 R1 and the same motorola phone which you've shown in the video. 2) Can I just plug in a usb cable directly into the car charger and then tap the two wires on it for power from the bike and keep the car charger connected with my phone's usb cable in the kit box? If I can directly plug in a usb cable in the car charger do I still need to removed the usb port and tap the wires on the board?
It is not reliable and you risk the chance of shorting out your phone at
ОтветитьУдалитьbest if not your bike.
Very true, just don't forget to turn off the switch.
ОтветитьУдалитьIf u put a switch on your power lead then could you connect it directly to
ОтветитьУдалитьthe battery.
