hmm...if i'm not mistaken,it happened after i updated some of my adobe stuff. I can't really remember.sorry =( by the way, i've tried all the methods above and at first it seemed that my laptop is OKAY already. But when i open my Firefox and type 'about:config'---> 'Claro', all the same things appear again. So, i don't think it has really been solved. Any idea how to rescue my laptop? I'm really worried now :'(

it worked both on IE/Chrome and thanks...but when i go to add-ons manager on firefox, it won't give me an option to remove babylon.it only gives me an option to unable/disable.. i tried both but nothing change. babylonsearch is still there..
Yes the same principal should apply to "clarosearch" too. I have been wanting to do a video on Clarosearch for a while but have been unable to find a sample of it. If you can remember what software you installed which came with it I would appreciate you letting me know.
not quite as easy as that, I had to go into regedit.exe and remove it string by string, which is a scary place to work in. Remember the root kits and all are still there and you have to remove the regristry files to completely get rid of this malware. type in babylon in find and remove the regristry. remember to save your regristry. this isnt for the faint of heart. HAVE to BE CAREFUL ......
when you reopen your browser it should say something to the affect, that it has repair itself to default search browser because of missing file [which should be this horrible babylon crap], and you should be ok.
