Hi , Okay sounds like it still has some of the old registry's hidden away in your computer somewhere which is stopping the new one from installing which is a common problem. There is aload of softwares online buddy to 'cleanup' your pc for situations like this try revo uninstaller its free, well most of it anyway it has the key bits available for you to use within the free trial anyway give that a go if not let us know and were help you some more, Hope this helps good luck pal.
If resetting your settings doesn't work, Try erasing your cache and cookies then after click on ''Fix it'', This should work for you let us know, Hope it helps =)
Im on windows 8. and it came with IE 10. ive deleted all the files but when i try to reinstall it, it says a newer version is already installed..... yet there isnt. i need it for work because the army is stupid and doesn't know about firefox i guess. any ideas? also the fixits on ms website arn't for my OS
