Ive just discovered the game booster trick too,not sure if its gonna shut down graphics card as is games related(mentioned in NI guide this may cause issues),it has has however fixed a friends audio problems.Good video, hope it helps others who may find the "Windows 7 Tuning Tips for Audio Processing" a little difficult.
Guys try going into settings and the top tab which is audio then disable
