UPDATE: Not sure if this is a good idea on the new iPhone 5s simply because of the new fingerprint scanner. Until I know otherwise, I would not attempt this ... Video Rating: 4 / 5
That's a good question. At this point in time I wouldn't advise it because with the new fingerprint reader I'm not so sure putting alcohol on that would be a good idea. So until I know otherwise, I'd avoid doing it on a 5s
Try it again. Someone else suggested trying to run a thin piece of paper around the edge of the button to get the gunk out. I'd just try the alcohol again and see if it works after a couple applications. Just don't get it too wet.
70% should be fine but it has more water in it. The idea is to have the alcohol evaporate as quickly as possible. But I think you should be fine with 70%.
mine was the exact same so i got the corner of a post-it and went around the home button loads of times and got some of the dirt out that way. it didn't fix it completely but it made it a lot better and it works now but i jus have to push it hard
I think so, unless the reason the button is stuck is due to it being forcefully misaligned somehow... like by being struck by something, But if it's just goo stuck in there, that's exactly what this procedure is designed to fix.
Will this work on power button on an iPod 4th generation?? Because I really
ОтветитьУдалитьwant to try to fix mine.
Used 70%. It actually made it worse. Now it doesn't work at all.
ОтветитьУдалитьThanks for trying though. Have a good day everyone!
is it okay if its 70% alchohol?
ОтветитьУдалитьDone it on my 5s, works fine
ОтветитьУдалить1 dislike (not mine ) u mad bro ? :D
ОтветитьУдалитьNo, You only would want to use liquid Isopropyl Alcohol.
ОтветитьУдалитьOh . How about Hand Sanitizer??
ОтветитьУдалитьOMG, absolutely not. Never use nail polish remover on plastic.
ОтветитьУдалитьDoes a Nail Polish Remover work??
