you also can try to open pictures from minibridge in cameraraw. That's the

  2. Ashley, you da man, "I open Bridge CS6 and drag and drop the file into the
Photoshop CS6 workspace, it opens all file formats in camera raw straight
away. No idea why but I suppose this is what I will be doing from now on."
    this works.

  4. Found it !! In Bridge, go to EDIT - preferences- general (left index) and
check the box titled "double-click edits Camera raw setting in Bridge",
Then go to left ndex again and choose "file type associations" - click on
JPEP or other type of file you need to open, end click on the down arrow on
the right - if photoshop is not in the option just choose browse and find
your photoshop application icon in your programs , Choose it and you're
    done,,,yeeeee :)

  5. yes this workd....thanks a ton...also by force opening your files in CAM
RAW by default...one is then inclined to edit and correct at this initial
    stage...which is a good thing

  7. i reinstalled CS5 bridge. opened all the files. made a change. saved them.
closed CS5. opened CS6 and even though the images have the icon that
signify change, yet the same 'not enabled' dialogue box came up again.
    grrrr... x

  8. brilliant! best answer to the problem. you've found a solution. like you, I
prefer to edit my photos in bridge. i trashed my version 5 of bridge before
checking whether CS6 worked properly, but could get it back from my air
book. question: i've got many files that i've changed previously in camera
raw in CS5. none of them have the little icon on them when i view them in
bridge. do i have to reopen all the files in CS5 before using CS6? heather

  10. If you have an old copy of ACR that works copy th e(amtlid.dll) from the
old one and drop it in the new camera raw folder. It will work. I have both
CC and CS6, Updated to ACR 8, and the bs started up again. I just did that
and it works like a charm. Store the dll somewhere and uninstall the old
    version for good.

  12. Neither of the fixes in the top comments worked for me (although I'm sure
they're both perfectly valid for some). I have no idea why but I wasn't
able to open anything in camera raw what-so-ever - JPEG, TIFF or RAW.
However, if I open Bridge CS6 and drag and drop the file into the Photoshop
CS6 workspace, it opens all file formats in camera raw straight away. No
idea why but I suppose this is what I will be doing from now on.

  13. This is NOT a FIX! and this only works if you have the CS5 Bridge and I
don't want to have to do this every time! Thanks anyway but not really
    useful to me!
