The quick and dirty way to fix a locked up hard drive. I suspect user may have dropped the laptop it was in.
Lol how do you flash the rom after that? the rom will not work even if its
ОтветитьУдалитьthe same drive. The rom is like bios you can not alter that. So this is
just a other BS video. Sounds to good to be true. Ps testing this sins back
in the stone age 1987.
Did it work?
ОтветитьУдалитьNope. Still clicked. Sadly. Lost all the data.
ОтветитьУдалитьIm wondering why he wears glove, doesn't friction with those gloves cause
ОтветитьУдалитьESD?
Rubber is a poor conductor of electricity.
ОтветитьУдалитьwhat is that box that is connected to the back to plug it into a usb? I
ОтветитьУдалитьdesperately need to find one of those. Where can I buy one?
maybe sometimes Windows 7 will not show some drives in explorer, try some
ОтветитьУдалитьtutorial videos on YouTube to display
@BraydenHade Locations and Prices: Philippines -CDR-King (PHP380.00) US
ОтветитьУдалить-Fry's (20 dollars)
LOL love the robot voice.
ОтветитьУдалитьWhy did you flip the harddrive over??? Why didn't you leave it with the pcb
ОтветитьУдалитьside down???
You do realize its pretty obvious you just wrote that on your own video
ОтветитьУдалитьright???
hey my WD hard drive keeps on showing the message that it needs to be
ОтветитьУдалитьformatted. Is it completely broken or is there a way to recover it.
i have 2 TB WD hard drive, it shows on bios but i don't have access through
ОтветитьУдалитьmy computer.. can anyone help me out !
what if this doesnt fix the problem, how can I fix my HD or atleast recover
ОтветитьУдалитьinformation?
I have an External Hard Drive WD, it's old and now my PC won't recognize
ОтветитьУдалитьit. Can you help me?
@lyonlancer5 thanks! What's it called? Trying to find one to order on the
ОтветитьУдалитьsite.
useful video for western digital PCB Swap
ОтветитьУдалитьThis is the same technique I used to solve My ticking hard drive...Could
ОтветитьУдалитьnot access the data on the hard drive with usb Universal Hard Drive Adapter
cables (bought on ebay). No HD was indicated. My clicking HD was the C
drive on My edit computer. I have five Identical HDdrives on that system.
One serving as the C drives..the other four were connected as an array. I
simply, borrowed a PCB (circuit board) from one of the HD in the
array..replaced it on the failing C Drive. Data then recoverable.
this doesnt work on modern drives each control bord hold certain info for
ОтветитьУдалитьthe drive all the did was add a old bord to the drive and say it was broken
then they put the original one bak on the presto its all mind games
Hi Sean, Thankyou so much for your support and assistance. I will highly
ОтветитьУдалитьrecommend your company to others. With Kind regards Brigitte
This robotic voice is pathetic.
ОтветитьУдалитьWhat a shame so many HDD problems are because of cheap PCBs. Makes me sick.
ОтветитьУдалитьWhat a way to save a few bucks, eh?
Swapping PCB only work on older drive newest drive on the market cannot use
ОтветитьУдалитьthis method anymore.
if you do Hard Drive Circuit Board Firmware Transfer, swapping the PCB
ОтветитьУдалитьstill work for most new Hard Drives
@HDDRescue I'm looking to buy a new PCB because my hardrive stopped being
ОтветитьУдалитьrecognized by the computer. My hardrive spins up fine ( sounds same as when
it was working , and doesn't have a clicking noise to it when powered on. )
So would buying a new PCB allow me access to my data again? A computer tech
I brought it to also said that it sounds fine, and that it's not being
recognized because of a bad PCB. And why are gloves worn when changing
PCB's? Thanks ^^
@Co0lFlame Depends on exactly how it sounds and what happened. This one had
ОтветитьУдалитьthe head stuck on the platter with the platters spun down - usually the
head should have been parked off the platter before the platters spin down.
If it sounds exactly like this - it's the platter motor that can't spin up
and trying again and again to spin up. Just open up and keep dust away,
plug in the hard drive as you spin the screw on the top away from the
head's direction. Do not touch the platter!
yo bro what that long black wire you are using?
ОтветитьУдалить@brentrjones Good one!
ОтветитьУдалитьI have the same problem with my HDD, what exactly did you do to fix the
ОтветитьУдалитьproblem, a full description is greatly appreciated. *favorited*
This hard drive is a bit older, it has an ATA connector. I'm using an ATA
ОтветитьУдалитьto USB adapter to power it up and read the data outside of a computer. A
hard drive can make this noise too if the hard drive is underpowered by a
weak usb port and can't spin up, but in this case, that isn't the problem-
just stuck heads on the platters from a drop, squish or just plain
physically abused mechanical hard drive. Suspected that the owner's son
wanted owner to buy a new computer, as it happened multiple times
@brentrjones: did that to a hard drive with bad sectors or head crash
ОтветитьУдалить(can't remember) - 1 out of a thousand chances that slamming it against the
floor and table would help but I actually had it start reading long enough
to see data for a bit, but died again shortly after. We do crazy stuff to
make various things work when it looks hopeless.
@c0rrupts3ct0r555: We did get the data off.
