  4. thanks man worked great.. NOTE: My time option already had a negative value
entered it the recording preferences with latency still.. So I followed
your steps and just added what latency was left onto it and it worked like
    a charm.

  5. That issue is usually caused by the processor of your computer. If your
processor is inconsistent, sometimes the timing can accelerate and
diminish. I am not sure about how to fix that.

  6. Not so fast, I'm trying to fix this situation but I have ANOTHER situation.
It adjusts the latency of the first measure but then the rest of the
measures are progressively off. Like, initially I have to set the latency
to -116 and the first measure is good but then the rest of the measures get
progressively distant! At first the recording input lags and then, as it
goes on, it's gets AHEAD of the previous track and it gets increasingly
more distant!!! VERY annoying. Any advice!!!!

  16. I have never seen that unless I have been running my computer for a long
time or if the fan on my computer suddenly goes on (as in, my system is
running poorly due to high temperature or if I have too many programs
running at once). See how many programs are running first and see if there
are too many running. Sometimes that affects the initial latency settings.
Try reinstalling the program. that's the best I can say.

  21. So you are saying those other programs do not have latency issues? Okay.
Here is the reason perhaps why Audacity has the issue more often than those
other programs. First, Audacity, being freeware that is commonly used in
all kinds of nonprofit circles (Librivox, Education, etc.), is used on all
kinds of computers with huge variance in their operating systems and
processing powers whereas those paid programs require specs such as a
    certain operating system, etc....

    ОтветитьУдалить
  22. This is because their software has been tailor-made for specific users and
processing speeds and includes command lines, etc. that test and configure
the software to an individual computer. Hence, those programs, prior to
installation, require a certain processing speed, operating system, etc...
Audacity does not. Audacity is one program that fits all computers and
requires a bit more work and savvy on the front end usage than those other
    programs.
